about this series

Ceararea: For Christians the world competes with the love of God since one cannot love both; there is no middle ground. Either he loves and is obedient to God or is in rebellion to Him enslaved by the satanically controlled world system. The love of God abides forever compared to the lusts of the world which will pass away. They are vain and vanishing pleasures of the world and are all fading away. Man’s heart develops a craving which leads to his covetousness and acquisitive nature in boasting of what he has and does; he is proud and pretentious. The sin of the world that so entice us are: Lust of the flesh; is that which has its seat and source in our lower animal nature. The lust of the eyes; is an avenue through which the worldly desires races in and enflames our senses. The pride of life; is “arrogant assumption” linking us to the devil since it was his sin whereby he fell. Thus, worldliness is the attitude which becomes a matter of the heart and not only affects our response to the love of God, but also to our obedience to His will. Doing His will is a joy for those living in His love. Anything that causes the believer to lose his enjoyment of the Father’s love or his desire to do His will must be avoided. When we are drawn to the Light we will recognize the evils that drag us into the darkness. It needs to be our desire to stay on the path of righteousness by doing God’s will.

1 John 2:15 “Do not love the world not the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

Galilee:It is interesting that Jesus would perform his first miracle at a wedding. And what is even more interesting is the nature of the miracle he performs by turning water to wine where only His disciples to witness. What would you do if you were Jesus and you were about to begin your ministry? What kind of miracle would you perform? Marriage was instituted in Paradise when man was in innocence (Read Gen. 2:18–24). Here we have its original charter, which was confirmed by our Lord, as the basis on which all regulations are to be framed.

Matthew 19:4, 5 Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female and said, for this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh

Knowledge is an essential element in all faith, and is sometimes spoken of as an equivalent to faith.

John 10:38 But if I do them, though you do not believe in Me, believe in the works, so that you may know…; 1 John 2:3
